I love fresh cut pineapple!! 🍍 And with summer just around the corner, I’ve been adding it to smoothies and snacking on pineapple chunks as a refreshing mid-morning snack! But aside from the great tropical flavor, pineapple is also rich in key nutrients like vitamin C, vitamins B1 and B6, copper, magnesium, manganese, fiber and...drum roll please...Bromelain! Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme that is known to aid in digestion, and can help to reduce inflammation within the body...in order to get the max anti-inflammatory benefits, be sure to consume pineapple by itself or in a smoothie - otherwise its enzymatic effects may be used up trying to digest food 😉🙌🏻🍍🍍🍍
